Hi,
So I have finally decided to take the plunge and update from v1 (or was it v2) to v5.
The only problem is that I have lost all my BPMs and Comments!
I have read through the other solutions in these forums, but either do not understand the solutions or they do not work for me.
I have the following backup files:
virtualDJ Database.xml
virtualDJ Internal Database
virtualDJ.bak
Also, I am scanning comments and tags.
I have a couple of thousand songs, so if anybody could help me that would be most appreciated.
Many thanks,
Jeremy

hello :)
when you run the V5 demo for the first time it should build you a new database for v5 from your past files
for this to ocur you must install it over your previous version
have you got a copy of these files placed in C:/programfiles/virtualdj
to my understanding if so it should be imported on load
http://www.virtualdj.com/support/index.html
you can learn more about v5 here
i hope to see you with us as a pro user soon :)

hi thanks for your advice - i would like to purchase the full version if i can get this working
unfortunately, my v.5 does not automatically read my old database - is there a way I can do this manually?
alternatively, can i manually direct v.5 to scan my harddrive for the database?
many thanks
J

We hope to see you a legitimate user soon. Consider the benifts in which your missing out on by used an "extended trial" version. Also your version 5.02 may have a few issues.
