windows detects it but when i select it remote control, it makes a red ring around it. It worked one time yesterday but after turinng off the labtop for few minutes and turn it back up it starts doing the same thing again. It will show up in the sound setup and remote cntrol but will have a red line around it when activated.

i noticed that your processor/graphics, share the same irq as one of your usb ports on irq 16.

See if you can alter these two :)

i try changing it but the automatic setting is grayed out. is there any other way to change it?.
It also ssays "no conflict"

I think what Sky is tryin to tell u is to move whatever you have plugged into the usb that is sharing to a different usb port. Try that and see. Also are u usin a usb mouse and keyboard?

yes try another port ,if it is not possible to change , you can also alter the reservation for devices in the bios of your computer

hit F1 or F2 or DEL when booting and look for hardware or hardware assignments.

On this screen you will see a list of hardware detected on you machine and you can assign a new number.

Also try this (something Behringer also says you MUST do) when using BCD2000 controller:

- Turn OFF wireless, bluetooth, lan - they tax your system resources and BCD2000 is not made to handle that

The BCD2000 is also very sensitive to background apps that tax the system, such as MSN, anti-virus programs and similar.

Bottom line is, that the BCD2000 needs a STEADY flow of audio data, or else it will crash/freeze/stop working (driver/chip issue with the controller)

And IRQ conflict like Sky and the others mention above, where the BCD2000 (usb port) share IRQ with other hardware can also make it not work, since it will interrupt the flow of audio data
