hey peeps
i have some questions that need answerin.
1) i used to have the hercules dj console but i decided to go a bit more proffessional. so now im stuck between getin another console (im lookin for vestax vci-100)
or timecoded cd (ICDX).ive searched the forums and cant really see any difference between consoles and timecoded cd's (exept that icdx can play cds as well), what would you suggest tou choose? console or timecode cd
2) if i get the ICDX do i need to get a sound card and external mixer as well? if yes,what kind of mixer should i get?
3)my friend sells a pioneer djm400. if i decide to get the ICDX, can i use that mixer with them and the VDJ? or i need to buy more hardware as well?

took a look at the spec on the numark site. it seems that the icdx is a 'remote control' only for vdj and cue. this means, yes you need:
1) soundcard
2) icdxs
3) external mixer
noting that you said you wanted to go more 'pro', i suggest all of the above. that way if your software breaks down, you can still use the icdxs directly with the external mixer using normal cds.
