Topic: Using a good surge supressor to prevent problems

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

When i dj a gig, i always use a surge supressor with a built in EMI noise filter. This is good because everywhere you play, there may be higher electrical noise in the outlet to make your audio sound distorted or give you problems. You would have to re adjust the settings in the sound setup. The electrical outlets in some houses or other places, the lines may be grounded or not grounded, the wires are reversed etc. These are some of the reasons why your equipment may work well for a short while and then start to act up. I bought a small adapter meter that connects into the outlet from home depot to check the electricity. I found out that the electrical outlet in my room was not grounded. Now i take it everywhere i have a gig. The meter checks for open ground, Open neutral, open hot, hot/ ground reversed, hot/ neutral reversed/ correct. By sperry instruments
