How can it modify the removal of music? It doesn't make sense that "Effect" removed the beat of music but not the vocal. Need help...

Vocal removal is not magic. Becouse most vocals are recorded in mono and then inserted in the central component of both stereo channels, what vr does is remove that central component. Sadly, not all songs are recorded in the menshoined way, and with does songs vr is powerless.

Vocal removal is done through the frequency specific phase cancellation of two mono sources.

Basically... in the frequency range in which one finds most vocal information, say 300-3000Hz, invert the signal on one channel so that it is out of phase with the other channel. Anything in that range that the two channels had in common (a mono signal) will be cancelled--removed. When using one of these devices, you may notice that even though the main part of the vocal is mostly gone, you can still hear the reverb effect. This is because most reverbs are stereo, and are unnaffected by this method.

With the right equipment, you could "remove" a mono signal from a stereo source at any frequency.

Also worth noting is that VST vocal removers are probably the better place to look ;).
