Topic: Please activate 5.0.6. for download

Yesterday I made a small mistake: upgrade a day before a gig to 5.0.7 with my herc MK2....

HUGE problems with the sound on stage, so i decided to downgrade to 5.0.6 which worked flawlessly for me.

PROBLEM: no backup of the install.

Is there anyone who can help me (PM or otherwise) to get my registered 5.0.6 back online?

I have re-set your account to allow a new full download of the 5.06 install file. You might want to place this file in a back-up folder, or burn it to a CD in case you need it again in the future.

BTW:
Guys, it is always a good idea to save these installs to a folder somewhere so in the event you need it in a hurry you have it.
 
Joop what was the issues you were experiencing and how did u have your sound setup?? I do know that I had sound issues when using the little mk2 picture in the sound settings set for headphones, here is what works like the old version:

Input: None
Output: Headphone
Soundcard: 4.1

Then select Hercules as the card


 
Since this, Chris has brought to my attention that a driver update will fix these console issues with rev 5.07.

Its no different than a Windows update without updating your anti virus, all kinds of weird stuff happens.

It's a good practice for any of us is to keep up on the hardware we run checking for updates frequently, from sound card drivers to directx to hardware drivers. If you don't eventually you will get bitten in the arse.

I was used to use my MK2 with the following setup

inputs: none
outputs: External mixer
sound card: mk2

firmware: 1.1.13.7
Driver v 3.4.0.0
DJ Api 2.0.8.2
CPL 1.4.3.2


Then i use channel 1&2 for left deck and 3&4 for right deck. This didn't work for me in 5.0.7 !! Withcoming problem is also the button "mastertempo" which was programmed for magic beatmatch in 5.0.6 ... In 5.0.7. this button is rerouted to master tempo... (duh)

All in all i had a very exciting and interesting evening (read: "f#ckin BAD!") and the audience didn't had a clue.. it was business as usual for them...

Now i switched back to 5.0.6 and everything works great...

So what's the deal?!

Mine is working just as you described, along with the Master Tempo doing the magic beatmatch and not the master tempo which you say your's is doing now. All in 5.0.7

Maybe it's the MK2-software.... which drivers/ software do you use?

Did you press the button in the mk2 software for External Mixer??

Yep.... select settings in VDJ, close, mk2- setting EXTERNAL, open VDJ, check all etc etc etc.... Sometimes the setting has to be set multiple times...... Then sometimes i got problems with the external setting (enable/disable on weird moments at startup)....

But if you all say that this setting is working properly, maybe i need a new installation?
