I have a dac-2 for sale that iis in good shape

This unit has been modified. The jog wheels are FREE and can scratch much easier than any other rack mount controller -- no clicks. remove the outer wheel

Are you saying you've removed the outer ring? Or just the lugs inside that make the wheel click....?

let me explain. the switches have been modified so that there is NO click when you spin the inner wheel and it is really nice. it spins 100% free.

if you temporarily remove the outer wheels and you can scratch easier with the inner wheel free

I posted a sample of what you can do with this modification

I haven't listed it yet. $250 USD plus ups ground shipping is all I am looking for. That leaves me with just the Hercules DJ console. Sold the XP10's, selling the DAC-2. nothing left.

So Wireless, let get this straight. You've sold your DAC-2, your XP10's and all you will have is the HDJC? Is this a de-facto endorsement that this is the right controller for you? The layer of dust is pretty thin on my HDJC but I just got my XP10s a few days ago (it seems like). I've really only had a chance to mess with them a couple good times, but I expect that layer of dust on the HDJC to grow a little thicker over the next few months.

hehe. yes i am just keeping the HDC, I dunno why. I don't need so many sound cards, mixers, controllers for spinning one night a week

Got it today! Looks brand new!
I haven't really messed with it yet...
I just finished building a new computer and am busy installing all my software...
I'll get to it in a bit.
If anyone has any DAC2 hints, post them here for me to look at

I take very very good care of my equipment. Here is a basic rundown on how to use it with vdj

install the driver from the cd
go into device manager
check the com port
change it if you want to
go into vdj
enable dac-2
select the same com port
learn how to use the keystrokes (it is NOT LIKE PCDJ RED) for example, press and hold the load then scroll to scroll through the record case

VDJ supports it NAitvely no MIDI necessary and that is why all the lights and buttons and display work
