k110m, is that the B-52 Matrix 2000 you have there?

One of these days, when I grow up to be a big boy DJ, I want to invest in that rig.

Hey TD, Thanks for the compliment.
The speaker system is the B-52 Matrix 2000...
I love it..It has amazing sound quality for the price.
It thumps.....
The sub and speakers all pack up in separate bags to protect it and
its put together as one unit. Just roll it in and roll out when ur done.
Perfect for the Mobile DJ. ;)

Hercules Rmx Swoll edition

I found this on youtube, sure it can be to hard to take the optical light sensors and mount them externally. Prolly could add a pressure switch too.

Cheers dude! Built it last summer, and (touch carpet-covered-plywood) it's been no trouble so far...

That's quite an impressive system you've got there as well - if the bomb drops, the only survivors will be cockroaches and that rig!

curious...what brand/type of mixer are you using?

Numark CDX\'s timecoded to dual core pentium with Pioneer 700 and M-Audio Conectiv sending midi via Edirol UM-1 (7" touchscreen and mini keyboard for extra triggers)

Wow how well do the CDX's work with virtual DJ, always liked the look of them? Do the platters spin like a real turntable?

They work great - when they're working ;) Do a search on cdr and you'll find my opinions on these most excellent but temperamental gadgets.

That would be the Behringer DDM4000 - seems people either love it or hate it... personally, I love it! The main selling point for me was the mic section, with tweakable eq, dedicated FX section for the mic channel, as well as a compressor/limiter and fully adjustable talkover circuit - absoulutely invaluable for going walkabout with a radio mic! The MIDI functionality is quite useful as well - I use a few of the redundant knobs and buttons to control the key on each deck, effect selection and activation, and video crossfade. Best £250 I ever spent on a mixer.

Got a pair of those myself, came to the same conclusion - they're great when they work. Seems the mechanics of the CD transport is the weak link. Shame really, if it wasn't for this they'd wipe the floor with the competition! Hence why mine are restricted to playtime in my bedroom, and don't get used for gigs.
