Topic: 0% vinyl quality/track skipping around

Really odd, my vinyl quality hangs around 0% and bounces up and back and forth to 100%, then periodically skips around to different parts in the song and the quality is pretty bad. I'm totally updated and am using virtualvinyl5 with a maya44 sound card. I have a huge gig Saturday night and can't play like this.

Anyone got any ideas?

Press auto config...
and try both clear sound off, and the v4 engine.

Do you have two colored circles or waves at the timecode advanced setting view?

you should also register your serial here:

and get the latest update

Yeha, tried it tons of times, and no dice, I do have those circles or ovals that show the vinyl. The main issue that botheres me is the song jumping to different parts.

yeah, thats cause you dont have a good signal...

Try a few things to eliminate
1) Clear Sound off (timecode setting)
2) V4 engine (timecode setting)
3) latency auto (performance setting)

and.. does circles/waves (depends on view), are they TWO colored? and look like a perfect circle or sinus wave?

Try manually adjust the silencer slider and gain slider in VDJ timecode settings (advanced view) until you get 100% signal playing the timecode straight (no scratching)

No dice, the circles look like many different circles/ovals, and are fuzzy. No luck with he different settings and adjusting. I did a gig last night and had tracks jumping all over the song randomly.

Adjust silencer and gain

until perfect CIRCLE.. not oval ;)

and 100% signal

manually adjust in advanced timecode view

Hum...

Can you give us some more info..

You say you have Numark VV, yet its not registered in your profile (http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html)

Is it the full package? Numark soundcard too?
Is it PC or mac?

Not the full package, just got the program. I bought the Numark VV separately off Ebay. And the Sound card I'm using is a MAYA 44, running it on Windows Vista.

Maya works fine, used by many...

In VDJ performance tab : set latency to AUTO
Choose the maya as a asio soundcard in VDJ soundcard setting

and in timecode advanced view :
- turn on software RIAA (amp)

Possibly adjust the level sliders after that, to adjust for 100% signal

Thanks a ton for the help so far, I got 100% signal, but still far from a perfect circle.
