Yes thats done but the issues i'm having with the decks switching on me meaning that in the middle of my set deck 1 becomes deck 2 and the video crossfader stops working and with the gains not being mapped is making me want to go to serato. I've been using virtual since 2003 and i really don't want to switch.

This is probably because you've pressed the eject button on the CDJ....

For some bizarre reason Atomix map the eject buttons to swap decks in VDJ.

The solution is simple. Check through the mapping and remove the string assigned to the eject button.
 
I am losing my mind and need some simple instructions. I am new to VDJ and doing through software for that matter and I can get the answers i need or at least can't understand what i read. I use CDJ 850 and I am connecting them to VDJ using usb. I have a dim 800 mixer and a new mac book pro. I was able to somehow get the CDJ to control the VDJ, but i have no sound nor any control with my mixer. I basically am looking for help to set my equipment up with VDJ. Again I know this is easy to most I am completely lost. Is there a manual anywhere. or step by step instruction for this application. Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
i'm having trouble setting up my cdjs in asio mode with vdj
everything is working fine in normal soundcard mode

i have 2 cdj 900s
latest firmware(4.20) & drivers(1.2)
tried it on two different computers(xp pro & win7 64)
followed instruction listed here

the problem is that i do not get another output option in the advanced config window
only "output 1&2"
no "output 3&4"

any help would be appreciated

Please open the Pioneer DJ ASIO driver utility and make sure that both decks are enabled.
Once you are sure that both decks are seen by the ASIO driver then start VirtualDJ and try again.

not sure if you meant this
both cdj are always displayed
but still not working
 
In the Advanced Sound Setup, do you get Pioneer ASIO once or twice ?

Hi, just bought 2 pcs. CDJ 2000 Nexus + 1 pcs. DJM 900 Nexus. Anyone can tell me how to setup VDJ - and does someone has a skin?
 
Hi i have a pioneer ddj ergo and im using vdj 7 on my macbook pro the problem i am having is that i would play a few tracks and everythings fine and then the quality of the music will just drop to a lower volume and it does this randomly and i do mixtapes and its starting to get a bit irritating if anyone can hel il be happy..

Just got myself a "pioneer DDJ-ERGO-V" love it already. I only have one question.
Is there a way to disable the flashing "Beat Pulse" LED on the volume sliders. It distracts me when trying to beatmatch by ear.

Googeling the answer was no help, also i don't now if and if so, which line i have to remove from the "mapper" to disable the flashing LED.

Don't now if this even is possible.

look for the following lines in the default ERGO mapper:

<map value="DNC_BEATPHASE" action="get beatdiff" />
<map value="DNC_BEATGRID" action="get beatpos & param_mod 1.0 & param_smaller 0.25 ? on : off" />


One of those controls the LED beat sequence, just disable them 1 at a time and try...
 
i have a pioneer ergo using with macbook pro and im having trouble with sound quality technical support advised me that the tracks may need analysing first, Ok i analysed the tracks and it still is not working when i upload the same tune on both decks and crossfade betweem the 2 one side sounds lower and of less quality than the other side and its confusing me as it has not always been like this and i have not changed any settings any suggestions i need this problem resolved asap.. and ive found out the problem only happens whn the ergo is plugged in when i used the built in drive on my mac its normal..

Matt, try setting the bit depth on the CDJ ASIO setting screen to 16bit rather than 24bit.
 
hey guys i just purchased 2 pioneer cdj 850-k virtual dj seems to support it fully, but when i switch from pc to usb, and then try to go back to pc, it seems that its accepting the input but its playing at a extremely low speed with no sound. I run on virtual dj pro, windows 7, plugged in through 2 usb cables directly into the pc.

to state the obvious, firmware is fully updated, virtual dj is fully updated, and my asio drivers are the latest for my decks.
 
you can go from pc to CD but not pc to usb as I think they use the sound card.
