No, you will only see 1 CDJ-2000 in the devices and if you assign Sync to a button they will act independently ... which button are you trying to assign the sync action too ?
Post the VDJScript you are trying to use.

Thank you for relpy,I'm using the tag track remove button whitch i believe is one 5 buttons that is not assigned. To me its the one that makes the most sense to use, because it's at the top of player beside the lcd.

Forgot to mention in previous post when i do hit that button that i mapped on the player, both players in virtual dj will flash sync which should'nt be happening.i'm sure i'm probably doing something wrong. But when i mapped the crossfader and a few more buttons on my djm 800 mixer I did'nt have any issues.
Inviato Thu 04 Feb 10 @ 9:03 pm
The 'SYNC' buttons will always flash together because you are putting the tracks in sync. There is nothing wrong with what you are doing. It's suppose to look that way.
Inviato Thu 04 Feb 10 @ 9:19 pm
Appreciate the support, will try again tomorrow i'm almost positive that the mapped function would only work on one of the cdj2000's,depending on whitch player I actually when mapping.
Inviato Thu 04 Feb 10 @ 9:47 pm
You are correct about sync buttons flashing together.I remapped it again,I guess what was confusing me is when I press the button on my first player both decks in virtual dj flash and sync, but when I press on second player they sync but do not flash.

I would sugguest buying a midi keypad or controler you can midi VDJ controls to the midi controler to croossfade or sell your mixer and buy a DJM 700 or 800

I have the Pioneer SVM 1000 I was trying to program VDJ 5.2.1 midi controls to. I can't get VDJ to midi control the SVM crossfader. It wont work no matter what I try. I can midi VDJ to turnable knob to control both linked audio and video but it will not work with the SVM 1000's crossfader!
I also tried to use the Midi 1-2-3 on the SVM 1000 to map diffrent features in VDJ when I select midi 2 all the features I programed in Midi 1 do not work. I was running out of buttons and knobs to map so I was hoping those same buttons and knobs would have dual function by using the Midi 2 and 3 settings on my SVM 100!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mr Pioneer expert would comment on my questions?

You don't need a MIDI compatible mixer if you will not be mixing videos.
The CDJ-400's are MIDI controllers natively supported in the latest version of VirtualDJ: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/trial.html
They also have built-in sound cards, so you shouldn't need to use the 7.1 card.

If you are MIDI mapping the crossfader, make sure that you map it to video_crossfader so that it controls the video crossfader only. Otherwise if it controls the software audio crossfader, you will not be able to headphone pre-listen from the mixer (Because the non-live channel is faded out by VirtualDJ before it reaches the mixer.)
Alternatively, you could set the crossfader to disabled in VirtualDJ's CONFIG -> Options

thank jp i will try that.but stupid question if i disable how will i be able to use crossfader with software
Inviato Tue 16 Feb 10 @ 1:21 pm
You won't be able to, but you shouldn't need to use the software mixer of VirtualDJ if you are using an external mixer. That is the whole point of using one. It gives you real hardware sliders and knobs with direct hardware manipulation of the audio as well as headphone pre-listening from the mixer (Assuming that you are using a sound card with at atleast two stereo outputs and have configured VirtualDJ's sound setup for 'Outputs: External Mixer'.)
The only thing you need to map is the video crossfader (If you mixing videos) and possibly effects, samples, etc. to any spare buttons/knobs that you are not using.

hi guys.
can people please tell me in the following scenario....
1) you're playing your set with 2 CDJ2000's in Virtual DJ.
2) next dj comes in and loads in his CD (or USB stick) to the RIGHT deck, cues up his track...
Do you lose control of your LEFT deck in Virtual DJ ????
As in, the song continues to play, but you cant loop, scratch, bend it in anyway.
I have this problem. And i can only regain control of the LEFT deck if the RIGHT deck is switched back into PC mode.
can anyone tell me if there is a solution for this?

i've just unistalled the sound drivers for the cdj2000's and reinstalled them.
(by turning the cdj2000's on and plugging them in).
i also swapped the usb ports i initially had them plugged into (although im not sure if this had anything to do with it).
now the above problem is fixed.
i have a CD playing in my RIGHT deck, and im cutting some loops up on the LEFT deck in VDJ.
....and now i have a USB sticj playing in my RIGHT deck, and i'm scratching on the LEFT deck in VDJ.
it's working!
is there a reason why sometimes the initial problem i described appears?
does anyone else have this happen to them?
you better all be testing it, becuase i guarantee if it happens to you when you're playing out and sharing the decks with other DJ's, someone is gunna be PISSED.... probably the crowd :)

I have 2 CDJ 400's I use with VDJ that have native control, I have notice that several effects have no mapping in VDJ. Can anyone provide a list of all the features that are natively mapped to the Pioneer CDJ 400's using VDJ?
Thanks,
Jeff

well, today we're back to square one.
i had to plug a few different things into my usb ports, a flash drive, a removable hdd.
had to restart the computer to install a bluetooth mouse, and guess what, we're back to the initial problem again.
i'd love to hear some feedback from pioneer or virtual dj, as it doesn't give me a lot of confidence.
is it a bug in the program?
is it windows xp professional and the way that soundcards install, and the way that virtual dj reads these?
does anyone know how to check it and identify what makes it work sometimes and not the other times.
or should i just keep posting comments myself until i finally stumble across the solution.... if there is one!!!

OKAY, working again.
heres the exact procedure i followed, should it happen to anyone else.
close virtual dj
leave CDJ's on and connected, and uninstall cdj usb sound cards from device manager (windows xp)
turn off cdj's
on your computers usb ports, swap the usb ports that your two cdjs are plugged into
turn first cdj on, let it reinstall
turn second cdj on, let it reinstall
connect them to pc/midi mode
open virtual dj
sounds nuts, but it worked for me, twice.
i hope that this helps at least ONE person, and that im not the only one with the issue.
