How Do U Set It Up

just install the asio driver an then select it in the config screen
(just mention to buy sl3 the new interface it thems that it has better sound quality and the price should not be so far from sl1)

Yes, buy the SL3 instead. I have it, it is better. I haven't tried connecting it to VDJ yet, since I just go straight with my CDJ-400's.

What kind of controller are you running? Maybe you don't need a Serato box at all, unless you want Serato and VDJ and are using TT's or non-USB tabletops only.

I have denon hs5500 which are native with virtual dj but not that great of spinning platter support (cant scratch)....also looking for SL1 soundcard to hook up with Virtuals time code.
Heard it works good...

also DJ Rude...do you use virtuals time code or seratos time code?

OK so I bought a SL-3 box and when I selected SL-1 as the ASIO driver in VDJ 6 Pro it keeps saying ERROR IN THE ASIO DRIVER.

Any ideas?

It works in Scratch Live just fine but I like Virtual better.

Also when I click the timecode buttons for the A + B decks it keeps defaulting to OFF.

I have my SL3 set up between my CDJ-400s and my mixer. VDJ only runs through it. Currently you cannot use an SL3 as a timecode solution for VDJ because there is no current support such as ASIO or other drivers available. Serato claims that it will implement new drivers in a future update. For now, only SL1 users can run VDJ with. Unfortunately the SL1's audio quality is lower and it uses USB 1.1.

Why can't I use the SL 3 with other programs as an ASIO or CoreAudio/Composite device?
Scratch Live and the SL 3 use a proprietary driver that has many performance and stability advantages over a CoreAudio or ASIO solution. We do however understand that a more open driver has advantages as well. CoreAudio Drivers are currently in development and will be implemented in a future firmware upgrade for the SL 3.

Unfortunately the manufacturer has not created Core Audio drivers for the SL1 on Mac to allow it to be used with 3rd party software. It will only work if you run Windows on your Mac via BootCamp.

The SL3 is also not currently supported on Mac or PC due to lack of drivers.

ok ppl i'm having a prob with virtual that once hooked up it wont give me control with my serato vinyl as a matter of fact my music is spinning in revers when the needle is on the record.. can any1 help me please.. I'm ready to chuck this thing and just go buy the serato plug n play for videos I'm beyond frustrated at this point and getting no help from Numark so i'm reaching out to the DJ brotherhood for some help

Bro it sounds like you have SWITCHED your RCA's around, BACKWARDS. Check them then report back. Also you should register your software.
