i have exactly the same problem i think somebody needs to look into the audio side of the xponent with vdj, ive tried every available configuration with no joy whatsoever there used to be a 4.1 card in options but thats disappeared now. Any advice would be very much appreciated

i get exactly the same problem, but only if i run it through the xponent,
i also do not get any sound through the headphones if i plug them into the xponent.
i used to use exactly the saem xponent and software on windows and it worked fine!
there must be some kind of driver we are missing.
any help appreciated!

i was thinking about buying vdj pro because torq is horrible... specifically around sound quality. Are there sound quality issues still? I need to be sure before I shell out $300 and there doesn't seem to be a demo version. I need better quality even for making a mix for my car.. which as a retired dj, is pretty much all I do :)

Use the Home Free Version.

Your controler will work for 10min on each start.

thanks haui. Does VDJ support xponent? The home edition doesn't allow those plug ins.. just wondering if I DO buy it, will I get support to get it working, or am I on my own to tweak it and get it working?

Yes, VDJ supports the Xponent.
The Xponent should also work with the Home Free edition, but only 10min.
Install the needed driver from m-audio and go on.
Try to use:
Inputs : None
Outputs : Headphone
ASIO and on the right hand side, select the Xponent Soundcard.
I don't know if you have to adjust also something inside the Xponent.
Because on Hercules RMX side, you have to set also inside the RMX the soundcard to ASIO.
Hope it helps:
But remember: VDJ works only with 10.5 or 10.6 ;-)

you have to leave at least 10% free of your hard disk (or all of your partitions) and everything is ok
