Topic: tips on setting up cue on new pc please?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

hi, having had numerous problems getting cue to work on my 3 year old desktop, the other night when playing around with it the hard drive crashed and kept giving random errors. so weve bitten the bullet and bought a toshiba laptop.

spec as follows :-

2.1ghz amd athlon dual core
3 gb ram
250gb hard drive
not sure what model soundcard, but its a realtek.

so, really im looking for any comments as to whether this is any good for cue/software dj-ing in general, but more so as its less than a week old how can i set it up for optimum performance with cue?

do i need to partion my hard drive so i have a partition especially for cue, if so how do i do this please? or do i set up a different user account etc?

No. Just install it and it will be fine on that computer. You shouldn't have any issue at all. Why haven't you registered your Cue software. You can register it here like I did as an original Cue user. This way you can get the free updates available to you.

If you need any other assistance configuring it just ask here but I don't foresee any problems installing it on your new laptop.
