I'm just for the 1st time getting o VJing. What do I need to play videos.(other that the videos and a monitor) My sound works just fine.

Like Tayla said, a dual core laptop...make sure it has a high quality video card. You cant just change them in a laptop. Then you will need a legal copy of Virtual DJ. Cracks are very problematic. Get and external LCD or projector & screen. Controllers and a mixer are a great addition to running music and video on VDJ.
