It is an RCA to RCA cord.

The Radio Shack Model # is 270-054
I hope this helps you as well.

money in the bank!!!
thanks all
the hum is eliminated!!!!!!!!
i tried the srtip cord from musician's friend---eliminated the hum by only 10%
i bought the radio shack ground loop eliminator for $17 as dabethinc suggested as well as dj-in-norway
got rid of the hum
the definition of the sound quality is slightly diminished though....but the benefits far outweigh the slightly lower sound quality
thanks to all and to all a quiet system

@kramer101: did u end up getting 2 ground loop eliminators? Assuming you have 2 channels out of VDJ into the mixer, of course. Also assuming you have a TSR out to your amp/speakers.

I had also the humming problem. From my laptop adapter powercord I chopped off the plug. I bought a separate plug and attached it to the chopped cord, without attaching the ground wire. In this case all my other equipment is grounded, only my laptop isn't.
The laptop itself is not grounded at all, while there are just 2 wires from the adapter to the laptop. Now only the adapter is not grounded. Seems pretty safe to me and verry cheap.
Ewout
