I just changed the eq to work on the 3m, and changed the gain to a CF.
the jogs just say something like invert= true or something(away fom home right now)
This is what I was wondering, what other settings to try on there. I haven't changed those yet.

The jog signal is inverted on the SCS.3d's for some reason, so if that command isn't in the when you move the jog wheels they go forward when you spin counter clockwise. you can change the value of "full" to another number (it defaults to 128 which is accurate), but this is the number of cc signals sent in a full rotation of the wheel. This I imagine will have a similar affect of the jog wheel sensitivity setting...

Hmm... there are only 128 signals sent in a full rotation? For some reason I thought that this was a high-resolution MIDI device, but I guess not.

Do you think that the resolution is sufficient for accurate (and fast) cueing and realistic scratching?

I'm not sure. On 5.2 and the mac response is awesome. The way I verified 128 was to run the midi trace tool and run one circle around the touchpad, counted the number of signals sent(copied to excel and used count cuz I'm lazy) and it was 125 (I figured 128 was close enough I wasn't going to put in an entry). I wouldn't really expect it to be much more precise. You'd have to have a pretty small finger to adjust the tolerance further. My logic is you have a 5.5" wheel; the imprint of 1 finger is around 1/4", but let's say you have a soft touch so it's 1/8". a 5.5 inch circle has a radius of about 16" (15.89" or so...). Break that into segments of 1/8" and you would have 127.17 segments (128) . Based on my math this is why they engineered it this way. Hopefully I didn't get too geeky for anyone :P

As for cueing, it is awesome. Hit the link on my set. The only time I ever used sync was to match the bpm, all my hot cues were done on the fly with no adjustment.

I'll shoot you my stuff as soon as I get home. I've been talking to Stanton about the touch and hold and spinning LED issue. As long as I an pull a signal from the master clock in VDJ to the DaRouter program I can make the LEDSon the Dascratches spin in time to the music. The SCS.3d's also have note on/off signals sent from the jog wheel, so touch scratch should be possible as well. All of it would have to be tweaked in Bomemidi, then slightly rewrite the xmls.

I'm excited to hear that cstoll got the System 3 gear in!

About the LEDs, I presume that you can make them spin in relation to what the speed of an actual platter would be, and have its speed change when you adjust the pitch slider and all that good stuff?

It would get the turn rate and direction from the master clock provided in the system. I'm also thinking of findinf a way to make it blink red when it is on the last 30 seconds of a track... We'll see. Sky's the limit.

Neat, I didn't know it could turn red. Do all the LEDs on the unit have two colors? Could you make it change color depending on which deck is active, if you were to use one for both decks? (I think this is what I would do, instead of having to buy two, I'm used to working that way anyways, but with the keyboard).

Where do I download these files, I cant see them anywhere?

right now the deck button changes color depend on which deck you are on and that is it, but yes all LED's have both red and blue and in fact offer three colors as a result (Red,Blue, and Purple)

Hey Trip 9, you were right about the 128, very good control at 50%.

I've got the new xmls that incorporate the scs3m.

guess I'll put them at the Stanton forums, don't see any attachment here.

Thankx Agian!!!

License your product and you'll hit pro level. You will then see the D/L links.

I'm using the trial version of VDJ to see if it works with my scs system, theres no point in me buying it and it then not working with my scs, I dont see what the problem would be to let us trial users use this patch.
