Topic: switching between stereo and mono?

Is there any way in VDJ7 to switch the output between stereo and mono? At a gig last night I needed MONO due to the way the system was set up. I had to edit the advanced sound config that was already set for stereo. when the gig was over, I unchecked the MONO box but all my advanced settings for STEREO were gone and I had to re-configure the entire sound setup again.


any help would be appreciated...

I think that plugin is too old.. I need it to work with VDJ7 and the new ADVANCED AUDIO CONFIG
 
Well it does work with 7 so I would say try it first and if it doesnt work no harm done..............

What do you mean by MONO? You had only on speaker? or did you want to split stereo sound chanels to left & right to run more decks ?
Could you give us more infos about your setup ?
 
i was having the same kind of prob with vdj7 i had my friends cd decks and mixer going through my hercules rmx mixer then out to the monitor but no matter what there was a huge delay from his set up to the monitor the mix was perfect in his headphones but once you put it up it was off terribly through the monitor any suggestions?

My mixer is STEREO ONLY.. there isnt ANY mono switch so that I can COMBINE left and right channels into LEFT and RIGHT on the outputs so that on the left output you hear RIGHT and LEFT and on the RIGHT OUTPUT you hear RIGHT AND LEFT.

I did an event Firday and what we have setup is ONE XLR cable from my mixer to the DRIVE RACK PA.. then we use the Drive pack PA in MONO MODE to run to th AMP which has ONE SIDE going to the BOTTOMS and ONE SIDE to the TOPS. I have been using a XLR "Y" cable to plug both master output channels from myt mixer to ONE XLR to plug in the master cable to the processor but if I can do this with a click of a button it would be easier (since I forgot the adapter the other night).

in VDJ7 you can click MONO in the advanced sound setup and then change the outputs to MONO but it ERASES all of your stereo sound settings and I dont want to go through that every time I need mono....
 
I see. Well then, either you have to remember bringing the adaptor with you, or re-setup the Advanced Config every time you dont.

Actually we have asked from Dev Team for future update to implement a sound config save file(s). That will solve your issue.
