Just updated the 3700s to the latest firmware (2020) in hopes of solving an issue I'm having with VDJ not responding with the vinyl properly. If I pull the record back and hold it, it'll often jump forward/backwards in VDJ. I read the new hybrid mode will likely fix this, but now the 3700s don't show up in the ASIO control panel. Do I need an external sound card if I'm using them in hybrid mode? If I do, I have a Versaport I could use, but when I plug it in, it seems like it would work, but the platters don't respond.
Kinda scratchin' my head here. I'm usually the local go-to guy for this stuff. lol

To use hybrid mode you will need an external 4-in/4-out ASIO sound card such as Hercules DJ Trim, Native Instruments Audio 4 DJ, ESI Maya44 USB, etc.
The sound card in the S3700 cannot be used in hybrid mode because it is being used to output the timecode audio signal (In the same way as a conventional non-MIDI capable CD player.)

Ok...is there instructions on how to set it up? I couldn't get the software to react to the platters when I tried it.

I looked there first but didn't see anything for setting up the DN-s3700s in hybrid mode.
I managed to figure it out through trial and error, but an addendum is needed, unless I flat out missed it. Denon's site says how to set the 3700 in hybrid mode for Serato, but nothing specific for VDJ. My issues were how to tell VDJ I'm using hybrid TC, but at the same time MIDI. After updating the mapper, I experimented with the different Scratch Live/3.0/2.0/1.2 options (or whatever they are) followed by what type of TC option to use under Config timecode. I got it working using Scratch Live and the very bottom TC option
