what i wanna know is...how are you gonna call yourself DJ, then ask how to beat match??
That's a pretty silly question. That's like saying if you know how to beat match you're a DJ. Beat matching is only a part of what a DJ does. If fact, most of the gigs I do there is no need to beat match. If you only play house and hip hop or tunes with heavy drops, then yes, beat matching helps. Usually the only people that can tell good beat matching and blends are other DJs that do it. I have learned to just play tunes that are popular from almost any genre and people will dance and have a great time. Personally, I don't like all my music perfectly matched and sounding like the same song all night. Just my 2 cents.

I would suggest going pro. You do get a discount if you own the console version...Some of the other versions don't have all the features of the pro version.
Be thinking about a back up as well. What happens in the event your computer crashes?

yes once i get a controller i would get the pro version as of now im trying to get my hands on the software so free edition is fine, plus im also confused on which controller to buy. VMS4 was good but heard alot of bad things bout it. 4mx is cool but seems like its not analog. now numark NS6 is my choice but waiting to know if they will map VDJ along with it or not.

I totally agree, as stated on numerous occasions before... Please see the definition of DJ (here is just one for tasters)
"A disc jockey (often DJ or deejay) is an individual who selects and plays pre-recorded music for the enjoyment of others."
Now, there is no mention of "beat matching"... this is because that is a style of djing (my prefered style as a matter of fact). Someone could play music through WMP and be called a DJ based on that definition, this guy is trying to up his game in the right way by learning it from the bare roots; the way so many others have demanded people mix music (i.e. without the sync button, by ear etc etc). Which, I think deserves more respect than that.
