Topic: Karaoke only search?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hi Gang,
Holy s**t. I am kicking myself for not finding this software earlier. Truth be told, I've been nervous about going all digital. Heard too many horror stories about crashes. But now that I've taken the dive, I am feeling better. Question for you.

Is there an easier way to differentiate between karaoke, video and music tracks? I see that the little yellow icon to the left of the title is music, and the green/blue icon could be either video or karaoke. Is there a way to put a custom icon there, for example, a "K" for karaoke, V for video or M for music?

I have lots of music, video and karaoke all on the same hard drive and sometimes if I'm looking for a karaoke track, I'll go thru 3 or 4 videos before I do find the karaoke because the icon looks the same.

Is there a way to search for karaoke only, if need be? Or music only? Video only?

I hope I didn't confuse you more than I did myself. Thanks for reading.........

On the search line, there is an eye ball, click it then select which media you want it to search for. Blue is video and green is karaoke.

You can search by using Filter Folders. Create a folder for audio only like this:

type=audio

type=video

type=karaoke

As you see it's pretty easy. Click on the folder and type in your searchword to see tracks from the selected type.

I do the separate folder thingy too. This way there is no mistake.

I will try the filter folder thing when I get home from work. Where do I go to make these folders? I appriciate everyones input while I learn this software.

John.

Thanks for the help thus far.

So, I click on the blue filter icon, in name I type "karaoke". In filter I type "type=karaoke". I repeat this for audio and video. So, in the browser how do I search for karaoke only?

Not much of a computer programmer.

There are mainly 2 different ways to search for karaoke songs.

1. Click on the eye icon, unselect Show Music and Show Video and leave Show Karaoke selected. Then by typing in the search field the results will only be Karaoke Files

2. If you have created Filter Folders according to filetype, then click on that Filter Folder. All the karaoke type files will be showed in the middle (songs). Then by typing in the search field you will receive first the results that belong to that Filter Folder, followed by others, but you will then notice a horizontal lne between those results. The top part of the results should be Karaoke Files

Thank you much!
