Just out of curiousity, just wondering what the first albumn everyone bought was.
Mine was Swordfish Trombone by Tom Waits, bought it with my pocket money in 1983, all my friends hated it at the time.
I loved it and still do.

first cd I bought was Rage against the machine - evil empire, I'll never stop loving that album I saw bulls on parade on rage and bought it the next month (had to save up)
first dance compilation was stanton warriors - the stanton sessions, this one is immortal too
