hello all,

im a new user of virtual dj..
now i am wondering if it possible to play music and as well play webcam on some website somewhere.. and if yes, how do i set that up..?

you can stream the audio through the radio plugin built into virtual dj but for the video on a web site you'll have to look into a little more dev coding for the page. most webcams are run through javascripts. there are loads of free javascripts that can be pretty easily customized for your site and include myriad controls. you'll wanna run a webcam stream software, i think i used wincam xp or something like that but i cannot recall. choose a resolution for upload but remember you'll be uploading your audiostream and your videostream. i recommend refreshing the img on the webcam once every 1 second(s) and keep your video res fairly low, 200x300 and run your audio at 96-128 kbps to start with. If you notice choke (lag or blank spots) you'll have to lower audio res or video res or refresh. It's a complicated mess and a lot of bandwidth issues but if you're going to be doing a show or something it's worth it. Otherwise, there's a windows media player plugin you can use that'll stream visualizations to your audio like wmp on your pc does and doesn't use any of your streaming bandwidth whatsoever. ;) Hope I helped some.
