Topic: Help with recording!

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hey everyone, I am new to the forums and I know there is alot of talk on here about recording but I need a little bit of help. I am using my laptop connected to a versaport soundcard with two vestax turntables and then with that sound card running to a behringer mixer and then into a peavey 1500 amp. I used to record my mixes with ease on a small midi controller but now that I don't use it I am having a bit of trouble. I can hear both tracks in my mixes. I know that this has to do with the fact that Virtual dj cant tell what the faders position is. I need to know what I can do, either with my settings or additional hardware. Please help me out so I can keep putting out new mixes. Thanks for the help everyone.

Ok open the advanced config window and set it up like this,

Deck 1 - Versaport - Outputs 1/2
Deck 2 - Versaport - Outputs 3/4
Timecode 1 - Versaport - Inputs 1/2
Timecode 2 - Versaport - Inputs 3/4
Record Loopback - Your On Board Soundcard - Inputs 1/2

Now run a line out from the Booth out or Record out into your laptop. I've never used that soundcard so my numbers could be off but try that and I think you'll be good to go.

Let me know if that works

Ok now where do I plug the wire from the booth into my laptop? In the mic input? I tried that and it sounded loud and distorted. I don't have any special soundcard on my laptop and I dont have any rca inputs on it either.
