I've had VDJ LE (v5.2.2) running on my Win7 laptop and hooked up via USB to my Hercules RMX for about six months. VDJ LE usually runs great for a while, but inevitably, at some point during my mix, it will freeze while attempting to load the next track onto one of the decks. There seems to be no pattern as to what causes the freezes. It will freeze (not crash) on either deck, with potentially any track, regardless whether I've played it before or not, regardless of track type (mp3, mp4, aac, etc.), regardless of track length, etc.
VDJ LE freezes, so while it will continue to play existing the song loaded on the other deck, it will not unfreeze, even after the existing track is finished. The only way to play another track is to force VDJ LE to close and restart anew. As such, I've been hesitant to record anything, let alone use it in front of others, since VDJ LE will ALWAYS freeze loading/analyzing a track at some unknown point, which of course kills the mix.
Has anyone run into this before? Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot? I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling a couple times now to no avail. I'm running it on a HP G61 notebook with AMD 2.1 Ghz and 3 GB RAM. Music stored on internal notebook HDD.
