I have used a PC forever. Last weekend my trusty ole Toshiba froze up on me 10 times in one gig.
So I broke down and bought a mac.
Here's the problem:
I am using a serato sl1 box to read the timecodes in virtual dj. With my old pc laptop the SL1 showed up in the audio set up options in virtual DJ. Now there is no other option in the drop down sound card menu. It is now only showing 4in/4out built in output.
I downloaded Serato and it works with the S1 box on the mac. But I would like to use Virtual DJ.
Since I am not a mac guy, I have no idea if I'm supposed to set something up in the audio midi setup section. btw This section does not show SL1 box (not sure if it's supposed to).
Thanks in advance!!!

OK, it has been a day & I'm not a very patient man. So I tried another method.
I connected my Motu external hard drive to the MacBook Pro. I plugged the turntables into 4 channels. 4 channels out to mixer. And after some tweaking, I'm getting a great sound and great response to scratching.
Now I can sell my serato SL1 box!
