Hi,
I haven't recently upgraded to VDJ 7 after using 5 for several years. I am still using a Denon HC4500.
On VDJ 5, to set a cue point from the controller I would click memo and then the cue point. In VDJ 7 I click memo, but then I have to hit the cue point button twice.
Is there a way to have this work like VDJ 5, where I would only need to hit the cue button once. I'm used to doing it that way, and no I find when I think I set a cue point, I never did.
Thanks,
Eddie

Normally you would set a cue point in the same way as any standard CD player, i.e: Pause the song at the appropriate position, use the jogwheel to adjust it if necessary, then press CUE to set the cue point at that position. Or press the buttons 1 to 5 to set the appropriate hot cue number at that position, if it's not already set.
If you wish to use MEMO to set cue points via the 1-5 buttons, then try changing the mappings as follows:
MEMO: toggle 'memo'
1: var 'memo' ? set_cue 1 & set 'memo' 0 : hot_cue 1
2: var 'memo' ? set_cue 2 & set 'memo' 0 : hot_cue 2
3: var 'memo' ? set_cue 3 & set 'memo' 0 : hot_cue 3
4: var 'memo' ? set_cue 4 & set 'memo' 0 : hot_cue 4
5: var 'memo' ? set_cue 5 & set 'memo' 0 : hot_cue 5

MEMO: toggle 'memo'
1: var 'memo' ? set_cue 1 & set 'memo' 0 : hot_cue 1
2: var 'memo' ? set_cue 2 & set 'memo' 0 : hot_cue 2
3: var 'memo' ? set_cue 3 & set 'memo' 0 : hot_cue 3
4: var 'memo' ? set_cue 4 & set 'memo' 0 : hot_cue 4
5: var 'memo' ? set_cue 5 & set 'memo' 0 : hot_cue 5

So I tried it and hitting just the cue point button sets a new cue point if there wasn't one previously set - just as you suggested. This is how it works on Denon CD units. When I moved to Virtual DJ 5 I found that this was no longer the case with the included mapper. I retrained my self to hit Memo and then Cue. After nearly three years of this, I've become trained to do this, and was a little jarred when I moved to VDJ 7. I had never though to use just the Cue button because it had been so long since I set a cue point that way. I'll happily retrain myself to just hit the Cue button.
Thanks Again,
Eddie
