We'd recommend upgrading to the latest VirtualDJ v7.0.5b.
The old DLL mapper is obsolete and is no-longer supported.
VirtualDJ v5.2 is also a very old version and may also have bugs that are fixed in later versions of the software.
You can either use the built-in mapping and modify it suit your OWN requirements or use a custom VDJscript mapper made by other users: http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/controllers.html?category=best&order=default&search=4500

Go to CONFIG -> Mappers and choose the HC4500 in the drop-down list. You will see a list of each button and what function is assigned to it (You can also change it if you wish.)
