Hello everyone,
its been about a year since ive used my hercules mp3 e2 controller with my Virtual Dj 7.0 pro software. and just being at a few bars and hearing the music and seeing the lights made me give it another shot. i have a bunch of musice 5500 songs to be exact anything you can think of, but what i really want to perfect is scratching say from one track to another or even in the middle of songs. if anyone one has a video of how its done explaining it i cant seem to find anything on you tube and if they can help me out with the controller setttings it be great a video or reading material or any information on looping or pretty much djing is awesome

thank you

you need a controller with touch sensitive jog wheels, unfortunately the mp3 e2 doesn't have them so you wont ever be able to scratch properly, as the jog needs to stop moving and there is a short time delay before the track starts moving again... the only possible solution is if you had vdj pro you could remap a button to "touchwheel_touch" and the jog to "touchwheel" then when you want the song to scratch you press the button... but it would definately be much easier to get a new controller capable of scratching.

If I have VDJ 7.0 pro can I re map a button to it an make it work? I'd prefer to use the controller since its basically new.

Sorry, it's not possible because it is a hardware limitation.

As above, you will need to upgrade to a controller that has touch or pressure sensitive jogwheels, such as the Hercules DJConsole 4-Mx or 4Set. Please see: http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Scratching%20with%20a%20non-touch%20sensitive%20jogwheel.html

Also, if you have VirtualDJ v7.0 Pro then please register your serial number on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/users/edit.html and then download the latest version from the Download Center: http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html

If you have not purchased VirtualDJ Pro then please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html - Your MP3 e2 console entitles you to a discount off the cost of upgrading.
