Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I have had this controller for a few months now on the most important week its not functioning well. everything on the controller works except some of the buttons on the right side (deck b) load track, set cue, cue, and the the play buttons are the only things not working on the controller. i have tried it on other software like traktor but the buttons are not working. i know they work because i click play with the mouse and the led lightsup on the controller but when trying to press play on the controller it wont respond. please someone help me i have a gig on saturday. i have also tried putting other ts1 but those buttons will not respond.

If you get the same problem in both VirtualDJ and Traktor then it is most likely a hardware fault with the Total Control.

You can use a tool such as MIDItrace to confirm whether the buttons are sending MIDI messages or or not (Make sure that all other MIDI software is closed before using this.)

I used MIDItrace and it worked like a charm, my controller was brand new again, it got me through the night. But now I'm have the same problem all over again, I tried using MIDItrace again but the same buttons wil not send messages. Please help its an internal problem I don't know how to fix.

MIDItrace is just a utility to see what MIDI messages the controller is sending (I.e: You can confirm whether it is working or not.) If it sends no MIDI data when you press the buttons, then it means that it has a hardware fault or there is a conflict of some sort on your system (NOTE: Make sure that you don't have any other MIDI software including VirtualDJ open when using it.)

Yes it sends the message put the play button sends 4 different messages. And when I install the traktor tsi file it still sends different messages.

download miditrace select the in and out, then press the three buttons that are working, after that press the three on the right side that aren't working eg

left side

80 00 00 00
90 04 7F 00
80 04 00 00
90 20 7F 00
80 20 00 00

right side

90 24 7F 00
80 24 00 00
90 34 7F 00
80 34 00 00
90 44 7F 00
80 44 00 00

don't worry about what the numbers mean, just paste them here so we can see if there is a hardware problem.

there is no hardware problem, that is the correct amount of messages for the buttons... I don't have access to the definition file to make sure, but hopefully one of the teamers can check for you.

Have you got the most up to date firmware from numark installed in it?
http://www.numark.com/support/downloads/stealthcontrol

i had a look at the mapping file on the page and have never seen anything like it so can't really offer anymore help.

That is really weird, it looks like you pressed the buttons one at a time the released them all one at a time, it also looks like you hit 5 buttons... if this isn't what you did then it's definitely a hardware fault and you should get the unit replaced. but if you wan't to test some more the data miditrace is giving is

button note
pressing button down
release button

90 3C 7F 00
90 3C 00 00

90 44 7F 00
90 44 00 00

90 4C 7F 00
90 4C 00 00

Usually it will have 8# on the release though, so this may also be a problem also.

90 4C 7F 00
80 4C 00 00

Yea im done trying to fix it, do you know a controller that's pretty much the same and below $150

Inviato Fri 18 May 12 @ 10:00 pm
A secondhand mixtrack if you want to scratch or rmx if you want to just mix would probably cost that much, but $150 isn't enough to get anything new that will last.
