Topic: Can Master volume control levels be saved?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I would like to save the Master volume, channel gain levels in VDJ so I can quickly start up a set. Is this possible? If so, what am I missing? Every time I restart VDJ it goes back to the default levels . Thanks for any and all responses!

Yes, you can add the "oninit" command to your controller mapping or skin to tell VDJ to start up with certain parameters. Let us know what you want to do.

Yes... you are right and VDJ TEAMER should have more works to do on this part and this has been discuss many times here in the forum but it is frustrating that most of the VDJ TEAMER are saying it is only capable to those controller that being natively supported by VDJ i think some work around must be done also on how we could this in the mapping side of it. If you add a scripts on INIT about master volume, gain & eq, everytime you open VDJ it will always go back to the default values of volume levels you have set in the INIT.

For example if you set your INIT like:

"ONINIT" action="deck 1 volume 50% & deck 2 volume 50% & deck 3 volume 50% & deck 4 volume 50% & master_volume 50% & headphone_gain 50%"

In this example above, everytime you open your VDJ program all the deck volume knobs/faders, master volume & headphone are set to default volume levels of 50% even if your actual (physical controller fader) is all the way down or all the way up still it has a 50% volume levels on it as default. The good thing to do here is... after opening your VDJ you must touch all of the knobs/faders and sliders in order for the VDJ recognized the current position of the knobs/fader & sliders. This is a big challenge now for the next release of the VDJ 8 to be able to recognized the current position of the knobs/faders and slider when opening the VDJ programs or during initialization.

You can do it with via a mapper or with a custom skin action - however this will require Virtual DJ Pro.

You've had this explained to you before.

VDJ can *only* do that if the controller sends that information when asked via a documented protocol available to us. For those controllers that do VDJ already does this. The Denon DN-MC6000 for example.

If the controller doesn't send that information then we can't magic it from thin air until the control is actually moved and then sends the data.
