Try this setting:

In VDJ Sound setup tab:

Inputs: NONE

Outputs: EXTERNA MIXER (Deck 1: Chan 1&2 / Deck 2: Chan 3&4)

Sound card: ASIO (Pioneer CDJ ASIO)
"click" the Ultra-Latency ASIO

Then click "Apply"

In Performances tab:

Latency: Auto

If you still have issues, try to adjust the latency to 512 [11ms]

I have done this also and its still cutting out on me :(
After about 30 - 40 mins into the mix the tunes just stop playing but the the gain bars on the Virtual Dj still goes to the beat but there is no sound from the speakers.
I think I have tried every setting there is can someone help please

There are a few threads between this forum and the CDJ-350 and the CDJ-850 Pioneer forum, that discuss users having dropouts of audio and control -- Pioneer may have found the source of the problem!

"If you are running VDJ Pro, this will be the only way you have to correct the issue - LE users don't have the appropriate settings (although I may be wrong on that, I haven't fully tested it with LE).

Go to your Config, select the Performances tab and where the Sound Card Latency probably reads "AUTO", change that to another value; this value will differ from computer to computer -- use the lowest setting is that doesn't result in hiccupping or glitches in the audio.

It would seem that in AUTO mode, the software tries to dynamically adjust the latency of the soundcard, but in doing so, can cause a disconnect of the driver and thus a total freeze of the controls and the audio playback will stop.

Please try setting this from AUTO to a fixed value and let us know if this resolves any of your issues with the 350/850 as soundcard/controllers for Virtual DJ."

Hi Ian I will try this method but would i need to buy external sound card if this does work ? I think my laptop has good speck sound card ,

You are using the sound cards built into the CDJs not your sound card on the computer. I have the CDJ850s set up with VDJ and have no problems, if you do still have problems you could get a cheap sound card like the Numark DJIO.

Just thinking as well are you plugging your CDJs into a USB 2 or 3 port? I as this as there are still issues with USB 3 and audio.

Hope this info is of help to you

Im plug into pioneer cdj 350 2 left deck
Pioneer cdj 350 4 right deck

I also have a usb 3d sound card somewhere ! Could i use that ?

I would not use that card to dj with as it is not meant for that.

I have listed a few things below to check and have put a few links to guides to optimize your PC for Djing if you have no luck.

Are you plunging each CDJ into separate USB ports on your PC (not to a hub)? If so are the USB ports USB2 or USB3?

Have you checked your latency settings with the Pioneer drivers and in VDJ, also are they the same and what are the settings in both the Pioneer drivers and VDJ?

Is ultra_latency ticked under sound setup in VDJ and have you changed from auto mode to another setting as suggested previously under the performance tab in VDJ settings?

Are you running just VDJ at the time, is there anything else running like Anti-virus for example?

Is you power mode set to max performance?

Are your USB ports set to turn off to save power?

Hope you get it sorted and if you do let us know,

Ian

Hi Ian Im going to wipe everything on my laptop again now and go with the setting with one of the links you put on this thread and install the only drivers i need for proformance for Virtual dj software .
Ill come back Ian and let you know on the outcome

Hey Dymo5, did this ever fix your issue? What settings did you have to put it on so the sound didn't cut anymore?

Hi reydawg55 yes I did got it sorted it was my stereo amp that was causing the problems seem when I set the mixer up full volume it trips the amp and no sound coming from speakers but there is sound coming from my headphones and I see the bars on the volume gauge on VDJ working

If it's not loud enough for you before the amp starts clipping (Most have a indicator light for this), then you need a more powerful amp and speakers. Clipping should be avoided because it will cause damage to your speakers and for amps that have built-in protection it will cause the amp to eventually shut down for a short period of time.
