I have a DIY MIDI controller, which works properly with my notebook and with my desktop PC, but yesterday I tried it with my friend's. Unfortunately, i realized that it works not properly: only the buttons and the crossfader are OK. What can I do? We have the same VDJ.

When you say "doesn't work", do you mean as a MIDI controller in general or only with VDJ in particular ?
Obviously, if your controller is not recognized and installed properly by the computer to start with, VDJ will not be able to use it.
Have you looked at Device Manager to make sure are components related to your device are enumerated properly ?
Also, depending on the version of Windows installed, their might be some updates necessary for a USB MIDI device to work properly.
