Is it possible to add an effect onto a sample? I would like to be able to add live effects to my DJ Drops.

Yes its possible, but you will need a spare deck.
Use a 4 deck skin.
From the Sampler view of Sideview, click on the small dot to get the "Sampler Options" menu.
Sub-menu "Audio Output" and choose a deck e.g. deck 4.
Open Sampler Options again ->Audio Output and enable the "apply Deck Effects' option.
Select an effect for Deck 4. Play a sample and apply the Effect.
