Topic: jogwheel/platter acting funky

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I had a gig last Tuesday night and I would brush the platter and the record would either stop (as if the platter was held down) or spin the other way. Then it would affect the play button on that deck as well. I checked my mappings and I don't see anything unusual. I'm pasting them below in case someone knows a solution.

<map value="JOG" action="touchwheel +1.0"/>
<map value="WHEEL_TOUCH" action="touchwheel_touch"/>
<map value="LEVEL" action="volume_slider"/>

I found these three while looking at the mapping file:
<map value="VU_DECK" action="get level"/>
<map value="VU_MASTER_L" action="deck master get vu_meter_left"/>
<map value="VU_MASTER_R" action="deck master get vu_meter_right"/>

Not sure what they do or if they have something to do with my platter/jogwheels acting funny. Hopefully someone can help cause I have another gig on Tuesday. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had a problem similar when my platters had moisture from condensation. I had to turn off scratch mode for the rest of the gig.
Did you have any temperature or condensation issues at the gig?

What is controller (name/model) ?
In most of the cases, it should be just ... touchwheel , not touchwheel +1

There are condensation problems with this controller and they seem to favor the right jogwheel. I have contacted Gemini and they don't care.
