Hi all. I need some help. Bought vdj8 and downloaded it. I have a ddj-wego. The software is a big step up from the vdj7 LE that the wego came with. It works quite well and Im very pleased with it. However, when I'm scratching a cued song to bring it in, the wego and software freezes(the current song continues playing but i cant interact with the wego or the vdj8) i have to turn off the wego and then force close vdj8 and then start over. Needless to say, this has caused me embarrassment in my little house parties. I need this to be solved. My pc has all the requirements to use vdj8 and its working pretty well as i said. But when i scratch vigourously or even moderatley to bring the next song in style, everything freezes. I used different combinations of the crossfader and scratching in the settings and nothing works. It's still freezing. My last decision is that i may have to either uninstall vdj8 and reinstall it, or take it out completely and revert to the vdj7LE that the wego came with which i dont want to do because vdj8 is working quite well except for this freezing thing. And additionally, if i have to reinstall vdj8 would i have to reanalyze all my music to get it in the database plus recreate my hotcues and samples? :-(

Which version of Windows are you using, and what are your latency settings?

A few things to check out ..

  1. Make sure you are using the factory default mapping (there may be a chance that you have incorrectly assigned the jogwheels to something that could produce lag)
  2. You have optimized your computer for best performance
    PC : http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/PC%20Optimize.html
    Mac : http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Mac%20Optimize.html
  3. Try to increase the Jog's MIDI interval (DDJ-WeGO manual /page 17 http://docs.pioneerdj.com/Manuals/DDJ_WEGO_DRI1074_manual/?_ga=1.54291112.122403431.1449867345 )

I'm using Windows 10 recently updated. My latency settings are automatic (256). I changed the sample rate to 44100 as suggested also. Ultra latency is "yes"

How much would you suggest I increase the jogwheel midi interval to. I believe it comes factory set at 3ms which I think is the lowest. Wouldn't increasing it CAUSE some lag?
