In vdj 7 there was a filter with compatible tracks i used this frequently and i am baffled as i checked all settings on vdj8 and i cant find anything that is similar or does the same as that feature. have i missed something? if not then is there any way to have this on vdj 8???

I would suggest you download and install the My Library addon - see http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/189385/VirtualDJ_Plugins/MY_LIBRARY.html
It will provide you with a huge number of filter folders, including compatible tracks.
