virtual dj is my main software. but from all the controllers i bought. i own serato, traktor, ms pinky, and pc dj. NOW sometimes i like a little change. now a while ago i bought pc dj. and i got the serial number via email. i lost the email during a windows 10 upgrade disaster. i asked them to send me a new one. they said no????? is that legal, and is this company legit? dont worry its not about leaving vdj. but i have epilepsy. and cant work anymore because the meds. so i have a lot of free time on my hands. i paid the fee for the others. and serato and vdj are the coolest about forgotten passwords etc. but if anyone knows if this is a shady company let me know. i will be my lawyer brother to sort it out.

Not illegal as far as I can tell, if you lost your phone you wouldn't expect the maker to replace it, the insurer ok but not the maker,
Isnt the email still in your inbox?

Serial codes are not perishable goods, and as long as you are using the original email address then it's at best unethical for them not to replenish you with the serial code, and at worst downright weird.
At least they should have a console where you log in, and you see your serial code or there's a button to re-send your serial code to your registered email, or something like that. Or a help desk where one of the help topics is "I've lost my serial code" so they know what you're talking about right from the start.
By the way, best to backup all serial codes in future - they are worth money after all.
Be persistent and ask to speak with somebody in authority there. You must have roused their suspicions about you really being you, by not using the original registered email address.

The company is legit. I suggest you contact them and try to work something out. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do for you on this issue, so I will lock this thread.
