.. or more political correct ... The holidays are celebrated in far more countries than the Christian ones (Christ-mas), and for huge parts of the World, its a holiday without any Christ. In fact it predates Christianity all together, being a celebration of the turning of the sun (Winter Solstice).
So i wouldnt go as far as calling it lame :) its just more political correct and humble towards other traditions as well
I also noticed that the Virtual DJ Logo has ice cycles hanging from it. Nice touch but I'll never see this in south Texas. On December 25 it is going to be 74 degrees F.!
And is also a good example of how the tradition pre-dates Christianity (Christ-mas). All the Scandinavian/Nordic countries dont say Christmas either, we say "Happy Yule" (God Jul) ;) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yule
This is an English speaking forum which displays the Stars & Stripes, as well as the Union Jack. Both nations have been fundamentally Christian for a long time. I do not remember voting for the politically correct "Happy Holiday". Our way of life is being changed without our permission.
Well in all fairness English is the international language for nations across religions, cultures and traditions ;) and so is this forum .. for anyone that speaks english ;) Regardless of religion or nationality
Well, I'd like to wish everyone a very safe and happy holiday season. That includes everyone that is celebrating a holiday, because I live in a world full of different holidays, that are happening at the same time, and don't want to leave anyone out. Whatever you are celebrating enjoy it with family, friends, and strangers on forums that you have never met.
