Topic: analyzing track - save time, bpm?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Is the time, and BPM part of the tag - many times I have analyzed the tracks (They are on an external drive) and many times starting a show the tracks don't have the time listed or the bpm the rest of the tags are fine...how do I save the time tags. I have even analyzed all the tracks in a folder, highlighted all of them and used tag editor to save all of them

thoughts?

Is the external hard drive being given a different drive letter each time you plug it in? I think the bpm and length etc are saved to the database folder. But they have to point to the location of the file, for instance g/documents/music/adele/hello so if your external drive is given a different letter when connected, the location might be h/documents/music/adele/hello and then it cant find the track info.

It does sound like the database is not saved correctly.

Check if the drive has a VirtualDJ folder with a database.xml file inside, and see if the modified date changes after analyzing the tracks and closing vdj.
If it doesn't the database file might be write protected, or have a permission issue preventing vdj to write to it.

It doesn't matter which drive letter the drive gets, since the database is stored on the drive itself, and vdj knows the drive letter at the time the drive is accessed.

It's an external hard drive - but I labeled it J: so it is always J: so the pathway always works...for the playlists and the other data etc.

I have tried everything. Recently noticed it does not always load the album tag either and constantly recursing and reloading tags.

Oh, the xml file is up to date with a current time stamp on the hard drive
