Topic: My next controller..

I returned the DDJ-SR because it was the only S series that had not been updated. I had to wait longer than I thought, but DDJ-SR2 is finally here. I don't like the way they changed the player control button into a switch, but I can deal with that. When we support it, I will buy. I only use controllers that my software supports.

The DDJ-SX2 is larger than this controller. I actually got the DDJ-SB2, which is the smallest. I liked the SR, but the week that I bought it, they came out with the SZ2, making the SR the only one not updated. It was a little large for my club, but it worked. I just had a funny feeling that they would update it, so I took it back, and got a great deal on the SB2. It was my first Pioneer controller, as I am a Denon MC6000 lover (except for the buttons). I like the MC8000, but for that kind of money, I don't want mirrored features.

I think denon have missed an opportunity, they really should do a direct replacement for the mc6000, it's been a fantastic controller especially for mobile DJ's, the units sturdy construction, rack mount size, and mixture of analogue and digital mixer has made it very versatile.

Mine like most is now showing signs of its hard life and i too am looking for a replacement

I have three, as one or two will be for parts. This is still my main mobile controller as it has a lot of extra buttons that can be mapped, and is the perfect size. I am waiting for the Pioneer RZX support. The truth is I don't need it, it is too big, but I want it. Hopefully, I will come to my senses by the time it is supported, and use my money on something that I really need. We'll see.

My SR2 just arrived a few days ago and i must say its really nice and compact and packs a punch with the sound output. Unfortunately i have to test it with serato dj : ( which came with the controller in addition to their attached pitch n time... I cant wait for virtual dj to release the mapping for the SR 2 and then i will go purchase Full Pro Infinity
