Hi folks,
does anyone know how to escape a wildcard? It's very handy to use the asterisk as a wildcard. But what if you want to search for the character itself?
I used the asterisk in my comment field to rate the song (did that ages ago to my mp3-files while playing those with another DJ-software).
So my question is: is it possible to search for three stars, i.e. search for ***
THX

Wildcards (* and ?) are special search characters and cannot be "searched"
Here is what you can do to get a proper Rating Music Library.
- Create 5 Filter folders with filter syntax .. comment="*" , comment="**", comment="***" etc... In case the Comment holds more info than the stars, you can change the filter syntax to .. comment contains "***"
- This will get you 5 Filter Folders to gather all of your tracks that have your own rating system.
- Select each one of the 5 FF, select all of its tracks from the Songs list (using CTRL+A), open with Tag Editor (right click) and set those with X stars in the Rating tag/field.
- Once you are done with this, you can add the Rating Browser filed to your Browser view, sort by Rating or even create a group Filter Folder as "group by rating" that you could use to highlight/focus and do your search.

Awesome. That is a great tip. I already figured I'd have to change the way to rate the titles. Your suggestion provides a very good procedure. Thx a Million.
