Hi dear community.
I have Virtual DJ 8, an AKAI AFX, Vestax Typhoon Controller and the Gemini MDJ 1000.
The Typhoon I have on deck 1 and 2 run with each on and off effects, which I control with the AFX.
The Gemini MDJ 1000 I have on deck 3 run.
Now my question:
What do I need with the SETTINGS; CONTROLLER; Set or create AKAI AFX in the mapping list,
so I can turn on and off effects on Deck 3?
The AFX can be switched to the top between deck 1 and deck 3.
If I switch to deck 3, then I can control the Gemini but not the effects. which remain on deck1 ...
Does someone know advice?

The Effect buttons and knobs of the AKAI AFX apply to whatever software deck is assigned as LEFT or RIGHT.
However, the DECK 1/3 & DECK 2/4 deck select buttons of the AKAI AFX are "hardware" layer buttons, meaning that they define on which hardware layer some of the Keys will apply, but cannot be used by any software to determine which software deck is left or right.
In your case, you could use the FX1/2 ASSIGN buttons.
Map those as ..
FXA_ASSIGN2--> deck 3 leftdeck
FXA_ASSIGN1 --> deck 1 leftdeck
FXB_ASSIGN2--> deck 4 rigthdeck
FXB_ASSIGN1 --> deck 3 rightdeck
When you want to apply Effects on deck 3, press the FXA_ASSIGN2 button and then use the left side Effect keys
When you want to apply Effects on deck 1, press the FXA_ASSIGN1 button and then use the left side Effect keys
Note. The Pads on the AFX will still apply to whatever Deck is selected via the Hardware DECK 1/3 - 2/4 select buttons of the AFX

Thank you so much.
My next idea is to buy a second AKAI AFX to controll it. Maybe it works
btw i have an AKAI MIDImix also. Maybe I can map affect for deck 3 and 4 over this device
