Like I said just trying to give a different perspective. I had to do lots of things with jobs that I did not really want to do... Still have to do that... But if it makes you feel any better, there was one time that I had enough of the BS... I told the boss guy no... Then I went to the CEO and resigned. But there was a lot more to it. The next big adventure for me was right around the corner with other people who had already left and life was good. Your beliefs should certainly play a big role in your life.

My reply would of been "Oh yeah... the image thing! if you've got a Nexus set up down there, i'll more than happily use that for my club set" Followed with "it might limit the variability choices but we don't need that for club rooms"
Or... simply! "You provide the CDJ Nexus set up and i'll happily use them"
If he's this established events company I'm not sure why you'd met with him. These people already have a very closed network of promoters, agencies, Dj's that they work with.
First we need to understand if they're on about messing on and moving an expensive set up for some laptop DJ. If the clubs are walk ins, but the bar area is more mobile set up, this would make sense. If it's already installed, best to use what is there... Only if it's high end of course.
If they're relying on dj's coming in with a Nexus set up themselves... That brings me back to my 'established events company' comment.
