When attempting to upload a new profile image it shows slightly lower than the box and does nothing on saving.
I am able to upload on this post so it image uploading in general doesn't seem to be the problem. I have tried multiple browsers and even from my phone.

What browser do you use? If you hit F12 are there any errors in the new window (console)? If on newer Firefox the canvas element (which is used to manipulate images, but also to fingerprint users) may be blocked - check in the address bar (shield) to see if it is blocked. Any script blockers installed? (uMatrix etc.)

Perhaps your image is too large and hits the image upload limits. Try to down-resize the image and try again.
