I'm a new virtual dj user and also a newbie in the dj/producer world. I just have a laptop and a AKAI MPK MINI MK2 that I would like to connect to virtual dj free in order to start having some fun (before eventually buying more professional stuff). I am trying to map it: the software can see the keyboard and apparently I can assign to each button/knob of the akai an action on virtual dj. The problem is that when I go back to the software and I try to use my midi keyboard nothing happens. Could someone help me ?

I have the same problem.. I see knobs, buttons change value when trying to map them but nothing happens.. even so simple as using play_pause for a pad button.

You need to have either a license that came with the the controller, or a Pro or Business license to be able to use external controllers and change their mapping https://www.virtualdj.com/products/virtualdj/price.html
