When skin reloads or changes layout, effects gui/dock status does not restore
(open GUIs are closed; clicking once does virtually "close" the hidden gui; a secong click is needed to open the gui again)
As a weird side effect, even stopped and not on a slot and no GUI visible the plugin stay loaded due to "GUI already in use"
Need to click 3 times on the gui button in a way to really unload the plugin
i.e.: create a custom button/pad and call it "`effect_show_gui cut `" to show gui status
as action set "effect_show_gui cut on & load_skin"
you can test with "cut" in a slot or not and active or not and docked or not
in every cases the status is "on" and it does not display
even "effect_show_gui cut on" will take status in consideration and not open the gui
