Topic: Lenovo legion 5 - glitch & scroll delay
hi...
just configured a brand new notebook lenovo legion 5
spec:
AMD® Ryzen™ 5 4600H Processor, Windows 10 Home 64, 15.6" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS
16 GB RAM / 512 GB PCIe SSD
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650 4GB / internal AMD graphics

Problem:
while ExclusiveAudioAccess = on
i get deleys while scolling in broswer and while plays songs, regularly (< 1 sec.) occurring noises

while ExclusiveAudioAccess = off
everything seems to work fine.

any idea what happens?

Maybe the latency is set too low then?

Stems on/off, reset settings, and latency tested with 256 and 512.... makes no difference

Try set the audio asio buffer higher.. 256 or 512 samples works for most..
And if needing higher than that, use the latency checker tool to see what prevents real time audio
https://www.resplendence.com/latencymon

You adjust the audio buffer directly on driver if its Windows & Asio.
Else use the latency setting in VDJ and same values (256 or 512, macOS and windows wasapi)

What worked for me so far is that i deleted all of the performance settings in VDJ to standard. So far so good.

I keep my Lenovo (in Vantage) in Thermo modus

Update: I contacted Lenovo support and they told me to keep the Legion in Performace Mode. So now i run virtual DJ performace setting in default setting (but with stems) and my Lenovo Legion in Performance mode. everything seems fine and without glitches. I keep you updated.

FYI.
- The latency monitor suggested: "Disable CPU Throttling.
- I am running on a Legion 5-15ARH05 (Lenovo)

what did you do to stop cpu throttle?

I wouldn't recommend disabling throttling. Your computer will probably get unnecessarily hot which in turn might force it to throttle for thermal reasons making it run slower...

so performance mode is just the settings you can set in power settings, i.e create a profile for performance from right clicking battery icon

OK try disabling touchpad totally then try. I have found the touchpad is causing issues.
