Hi,
Can anyone please help?
I do live streams & i'm trying to find a way to cut out the audio playback in my personal studio only while the mic is on to avoid feedback loops without interrupting the music on stream so that i can talk over the music clearly?
I am using Mac High Sierra 10.13.4 with the latest VDJ and an Avid Mbox audio interface
Thank you!

The easiest solution is not to have your speakers so loud that the sound is picked up by the mic.
I do live streams, with my speakers on. I use the mic while the speakers are on. I don't get feedback.
The other way, common in radio studios, is to wear headphones. I also use this method if I'm streaming during later hours, or just so I can hear my voice as it would be heard by the listeners.
What mic are you using? Maybe it's not the right type for the job.
