Is there a tablet that can operate VDJ ?
I presume it cannot work on a iPad
any plans for an iPad compatible version ?

You can use ipad as a "controller", having VirtualDJ showing on the ipad, but connected to computer wirelessly.

Or a Windows tablet, to run full version of VirtualDJ

You can also use any VNC client to remotely operate VDJ from an ipad or Android tablet.

You also get the full browser screen and all the functionality.

The remote app is pretty dreadful and years out of date.

I use VDJ ON SURFACE PRO 3 i5 and SURFACE PRO 4 i7 LINK CDJ2000NXS2+DJM900NXS2!I use DJM900NXS2 output Sound card !You can output DVJ video, and it is very stable and smooth!!BUT SP4 have A little USB delay! can't scratch! May be caused by the SP4 i7's CPU speed is not strong enough .because can't Change below 256KBPS in ASIO! If it is set to 64kbps, the sound will be tearing!!I am going to buy SP7+ i7, because its CPU is more powerful, hope the new SP7+ i7 can let me scratch!!
